Meet Loki. This handsome, 2 year old Norwegian Elkhound, is looking for a foster-to-adopt home. He is good with other dogs. We are unsure how he is with cats. Loki needs a home with children over the age of 10. Younger kids make him nervous. This is part of the reason he is in need of a new forever home. Loki also tends to want to run and will need a fenced in yard to secure him. Loki is crate trained and house trained. Loki will be brought completely up to date on his vetting once he is placed in a safe foster-to-adopt home. Loki will be neutered, up to date on Bordetella, Rabies, and DHPP, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is a full blooded Norwegian Elkhound. If you are interested in adopting Loki, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first step of the adoption process. Once we review your application and if selected, we will make arrangements for a meet and greet. Loki's adoption fee is $200. If you have any questions, please contact us on Facebook or email us at email@example.com. (Less)

Norwegian Elkhound Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Norwegian Elkhound is a prototypical Spitz-type dog. Elkhounds are loyal companions and are wonderful with children and friends of the family. Elkhounds make excellent non-vicious guard dogs. This breed is a determined hunter and an excellent working sled dog. Elkhounds are sensitive and need gentle, firm training. Elkhounds like to be outside in cooler temperatures. However, this dog can adapt to apartment life if it has enough exercise.
